Sun Gallery Photography owner Lewis Carlyle has spent the past year creating his latest macro series. “It’s been an interesting experience,” Carlyle describes. “Believe it or not, the best place to find subject matter for this project is in public bathrooms.”

A compilation of sinks, faucets and pipe fixtures, Chrome explores unusual angles and lighting situations to shed new perspective on some of the things we take for granted most. “It’s always fun telling people what they’re really looking at when they see these images. Lurking around in public bathrooms with a camera late at night may not seem like most people’s idea of fun, but I think the results have really paid off.”
